I texted the firm, explained that my wife and I were separating to work on our marriage, and that neither one of us had filed for divorce . I stated I wanted to see if legally I could protect myself financially as I’d read that Texas does not recognize separations. Within a short period of time, one of their associates named Thomas called. He asked further questions, which he forwarded onto one of their more experienced attorneys. Thomas called back, verified that TX does not recognize separations. He explained my few options regarding financially, which would have only applied if we were going to divorce. This appears to be a very careing and understanding firm. Thomas wished me well and there was no charge for their legal advice.
My personal experience for a small civil/family procedure (not divorce) has not been good. My expensive lesson learned is to interview any firm before trusting them. Other reviews have mentioned communication and organization issues and this has been my experience as well.
They couldn't actually help me as my case didn't meet the legal requirements. That being said, Amy was so very kind, made me feel so positive about the situation and gave me ideas about reporting the school to the state's TEA. Amy and I chatted about special education law and other special education concerns and I feel so positive about my situation! I'm going to chat with my child about what happened, which was tragic, we're not going to be victims, and we're going to move on. Don't look further. Amy's got you!!!
Amy was beyond helpful and followed up with me as promised.
I wish I could leave zero stars. I hired an attorney from Ramage to protect me and ended up wishing I had someone to protect me from my attorney. My perception is that they were very disorganized - it was my experience that they kept asking for things that had already been provided and of course billed me for each request and for time that I believe that they wasted. They demanded extra paperwork that I believe was unnecessary and seemed very disorganized about it. After spending around $10K, I didn't even have a draft of a divorce decree to show for the money spent. I feel like I don't have anything to show for the attorneys fees that I paid. I had to fire them and getting my retainer back was an unnecessary hassle - they said they would only refund it back on my credit card at first, which had already been paid off. I finally got them to send a check. It's not right to harass people who are going through the upheaval of a divorce. This was a time in my life when I was vulnerable and under a great deal of stress and I feel like my attorney took advantage of that. Working with Ramage Law Group ended up being a worse experience than my divorce. I wasn't looking for a budget divorce - I was okay with the rates quoted. I did expect professionalism and competence and I don't believe that I received that from Ramage Law Group. I highly recommend hiring Allen Roach instead - Allen and Jade were able to get everything back on track and completed at a much lower cost. I believe the quality of work was also significantly better.
They are very Informative, very professional very helpful and friendly lots of great information to share. They care about the rights of fathers. I would most definitely recommend this firm to any of my friends and family.
Amy went above and beyond trying to help me . She was straight to the point a. I would definitely recommend.
I have no words on the amazing help and guidance they have given me. Very complicated case and this firm helped and guided me in a very caring and supportive way. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a caring lawyer. A true diamond in the rough!
I spoke with Amy regarding my legal issue. She took the time to hear me out. She spoke to me with professionalism and kindness. And appreciate it that Amy gave me direct information on explaining how the legal process works. I will definitely seek information from the law firm again if I need it.
Fast results for inquiries and they didn’t add any stress to a complicated situation. They made things as easy as possible which was a relief especially when you’re in need of these services.
I worked with Thomas on a special education case involving my son. He was extremely helpful in laying out the process and expectations. And he was straight with me about potential outcomes so that I could make the best choice for my family. I would definitely recommend the Ramage Law Group and plan to reach out to them again should any new situations transpire.
Amy cares about children’s education rights. She took her time to explain the process and listened to our concerns. The kindness and professionalism shown by Amy was exactly what a parent wishes for in a lawyer. I would give 10 stars if i could.
Trust me, these folks' first priority is using you as best as they can. You will spend 5 times more than you need to
DO NOT HIRE THIS LAW FIRM. Especially Adrienne Peters. They will milk you for as much as they can with no conscience. They kept on dragging my friend’s divorce case, asking for money for every printing and mailing and phone calls. When they went to court, they were so unprepared that the opposing counsel had everything they asked for. Zero defense or work put in by them. As soon as they saw that they were losing, they fired the client after over $20k of legal fees. They just threw the towel in and said the case was too difficult for them. Oh, and the receptionist is the most insolent of them all. She speaks to the client like she is doing you a Favour. She’s extremely rude.
I had called them for an interview for my career exploration class, and they were kind enough to not only answer, but agreed to the interview and answer the questions in detail.
I could drone on and on about the minutiae of customer service, communication, price etc., but I won't. The team, primarily my attorney Adrienne Peters, achieve results. That is what matters most. Thank you for everything.
So Thomas Fine was amazing. I am too far for them to represent me but, still took the time to help me and send me some things to point me in the correct direction and even steps I had to take with my situation. Most lawyers charge even for a 5 minute conversation so, it was nice to see a Lawyers office be genuine and take their time to help. Much appreciated!!
Great law office. They answered my questions with great detail. I would definitely recommend this lawyer.. I can not tell them how much I appreciate all their help
Fired them after a month of ineffective, poorly responsive and negligent counsel. It’s been over two weeks and they still have not returned the remaining retainer. However they expect you to maintain minimum trust levels within 3 days. Attorney asked the same questions over and over, after they had been answered and files had been sent, didn’t know the max Texas child support rules when asked (simple internet search reveals that and he showed up to our first meeting wearing a hoodie, with his sleeves pulled up with tattoos all over his arm. Then I was encouraged to take a ridiculous deal from opposing counsel with no counsel regarding a counter proposal. Incredibly unprofessional. Their attorneys didn’t know max child support, said they didn’t respond to emails and stated I could cash out a 401K. My new attorney has done far more to negotiate terms in 1/4 of the time for 1/7 the cost. The Bar will get a complaint soon so make sure to look out for that. Plenty of documentation. My dad was a partner at two of the largest law firms in Texas (who the RAMAGE attorney had never even heard of) and had me hold off on firing them until I was sure. Finally, he advised me to drop them after speaking with his colleagues. Over 7,000 spent and no counter to their offer. My new attorney negotiated an amazing counter offer for $1,600. Of you want to throw away thousands with nothing to show for it, they are your firm. Nothing is guaranteed in law and the wheels of justice can be slow. With these people is was take, take, take while offering little in comparison.
